John and his family moved to Denver between 1900 and 1910. All three daughters still livve with him and Ellen in 1910, but by 1920, John and Ellen live with their daughter Rosemary. The other two aren't at home any more and had probably married. Ellen's father, Peter Flannery lives with the family in 1900 and 1910. In 1920 and 1930, her brother William Flannery is with them in Denver.

Ellen was a daughter of Peter and Rose (Mattingly) Flannery. Peter was a brother of Mary Flannery (1823--1924) who married Thomas Reed of Clinton County, Iowa.

Also, Ellen had a sister named Mary Ann who married George Howell. George was a brother of Margaret Howell, wife of Michael Donegan. George and Mary Ann and their four children and Mary Ann's brother William Flannery are also in Eagle Grove in the 1900 census.
