Dean Pierson said he has conflicting information for Carrie's birth place. He believes she was born in Iowa and has Marysville, Keokuk Co. as the place, but he also has near Oskaloosa as a birthplace. And he indicated a slim possibility she might have been born after the family returned to Jackson Co., IN. The 1870 census says she was born in Indiana, apparently before the family moved to Keokuk Co., Iowa.
