Jesse lived in Iowa county, Iowa in 1904, according to court
documents for the estate of his grandfather, Thomas Morgan.
But according to his daughter Katy, the family lived in Kansas
at the time of Jesse's son James' birth. He moved to Colorado
between 1907 and 1915. Early in life, Jesse was a farmer.
He sold real estate for awhile after he moved to Colorado. He then went to
Pharmacy School in Denver, and owned and operated his own drug store
for many years, starting in 1918.
His son, Fernand, was also a pharmacist and took over the store when Jesse
retired.
Jesse had originally bought one drug store, but then later bought or
built a different drugstore across the street at 4690 Brighton Blvd.
The family lived for many years in a nice apartment over the store. His
daughter Katy said that was where she was raised.
