JIM ROSS: Hello folks, and welcome to the sold out pay-per-view Hardcore
Holocaust.  We have only one match lined up for tonight but I hear Xanadu
Williams has something to say before it starts.
JERRY “THE KING” LAWLER: Yeh JR, tonight is an emotional night for us
all, and I’m sure Xanadu will be out soon to deliver her message.
JIM ROSS: We have a horrific match lined up tonight King, Googalick and
Partners of Pain, meeting arch rivals Mistress Demonica, Crazy Canadian,
and Smooth.  The ring is going to be surrounded by barb wire, and a steel
cage will be lowered too, and the aim is for one competitor to survive with no
broken bones.  Sounds disgusting King.
JERRY “THE KING” LAWLER”: Too right it does JR.  Theres a lot of people
I’d like to see competing in that match though.  Some of those guys deserve
to get bones snapped.  Hold on, here’s Xanadu.


WMRF Corporate Owner Xanadu Williams comes to the ring and takes the
mic from the ring announcer.

“Ladies and gentleman, and folks around the world watching us on
pay-per-view, you have no doubt heard of the untimely death of our athlete
and my close companion, Jeremy “Armbender” Shannon, who was killed by a
drunk driver while on his motorcycle last week. 

I wish to dedicate this pay-per-view in his memory, and also will be retiring
the Heavyweight title in his honor.  Instead we will have the Jeremy Shannon
Tribute Trophy and heats for this will start in the next few weeks.

Meantime, before the match gets underway, please join us in taking a few
moments to pay our respects to him while we toll the timekeepers bell ten
times...”

The lights go down and every single member of the WMRF, past and present
gather at the top of the entrance slope to pay their respects to the lost
athlete.  The crowd falls silent and stands as the time keeper tolls the bell
1....2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10.......and Xanadu stands in the middle of the
ring with tears rolling down her cheeks.  She takes the mic and whispers
softly “We all love you Jeremy and you’ll never be forgotten - you were and
always will be, a great man”  The arena lights are restored and someone in
the crowd waves a neon coloured sign saying “Rest in Peace Armbender and
kick ass of anyone who hassles you in the big ring in the sky”

JIM ROSS: That was so touching King, Jeremy will be remembered for years
to come.
JERRY “THE KING” LAWLER: Yeh, he had some great fights and even the
ones he lost, he was still the true champion on the WMRF.
