-  ACC All-Tournament First Team: Joseph Forte, North Carolina; Shane Battier, Duke;  Jason Williams, Duke; Mike Dunleavy, Duke; Juan Dixon, Maryland.

ACC All-Tournament Second Team:  Jason Capel, North Carolina, Brendan Haywood, North Carolina; Nate James, Duke; Alvin Jones, Georgia Tech; Lonny Baxter, Maryland.

- #2 Duke crushed #1 North Carolina in the ACC Tournament Championship Game.  The Blue Devils took an early lead and never looked back, beating the Heels 79-53.

- ACC Tournament Championship: #1 North Carolina vs. #2 Duke, Sunday at 1:00 pm.

- In a last minute shot, #2 Duke topped #3 Maryland, 84-82.  Duke advances to the championship game to face North Carolina at 1:00 pm Sunday.

- The Tar Heels defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in today's first semifinal game.  The Tar Heels escaped the Jacket's comeback, 70-63.  Carolina will play the winner of the #2 Duke/#3Maryland game for the ACC Tournament Championship, tomorrow at 1:00 pm.

- Semifinal Match-Ups: #1 North Carolina vs. #5 Georgia Tech, 1:30 pm;  #2 Duke vs. # 3 Maryland, 4:00 pm.

- #3 Maryland topped #6 Wake Forest tonight, 71-53.  The Terps advance to play #2 Duke tomorrow at 4:00 pm.

- #2 Duke took care of #7 N. C. State in the first quarterfinal game in the night session of the ACC Tournament.  The Blue Devils defeated the Wolfpack 76-61.  Duke advances to the semifinal round and will face the winner of the #3 Maryland/#6 Wake Forest game.

- #5 Georgia Tech upset #4 Virginia this afternoon, 74-69 in the second quarterfinal game of the day in Atlanta.  The Yellow Jackets will advance to the semifinal round to face #1 North Carolina, Saturday at 1:30 pm.

- #1 North Carolina got past the #9 Clemson Tigers today, 99-81 to advance to the Semifinal Round.  They play the winner of the Vriginia/Georgia Tech game on Saturday at 1:30 pm.

March 8, 2001
- #9 Clemson defeated #8 Florida State 66-64 in a close game Thursday night.  The Tigers advance to play #1 North Carolina Friday, at 12:00 pm.

- With all regular season games complete, the 2001 ACC Tournament bracket has been made.  The first game to start the 2001 Tournament will be on Thursday night, March 8, at 7 pm with #8 Florida State playing #9 Clemson.
