in good times of laughter and sad times of tears,
you were always there to lend an ear.
if you are looking for somewhere to lean,
don't think of a pole, you can lean on me.
you gave me hope and brought me joy
you believed in me with that special boy.
i thought i knew lots before i knew you,
but you taught me much more than i ever knew.
when school lets out for good and we go our separate ways,
i will still be there for you through all of your days.
and since a friend like you will stay at heart,
true friends like us never really part.
