Great Stories Online

Welcome to the latest installment of Great Stories Online, the totally free E-zine without the annoying pop-up windows, and without the flashing distracting ads that most sites seem to sport these days. Here at Great Stories Online, my goal is to provide readers with some new stories and poetry in a simple and easy to follow format. I hope that I am doing just that.

I have several repeat writers in this issue, which is AWESOME! Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to submit material. I also have several new writers in this issue. The most amazing thing to me is that some of the material was submitted by people without having to be harassed by me! Those writers who have submitted work in the past know what I am talking about! I know that I can be persistent, but it is for a good cause, I think.

Thinking about the writers, the people who drive this e-zine, I would like to congratulate Margaret Ingram on the acceptance of her work "This Old House". I am so happy that I was able to help you realize your goal of getting your work published. Congratulations! and I am looking forward to being able to publish/post more of your work, Margaret..... (hint, hint!)

I feel the need to talk about the events of September 11, 2001. I think that every American, and most people in the free world, can say that the world in which we live has changed since that day. Personally, I fully support the efforts of the American military and the United Nations to wipe out terrorists from our planet. It is horrible that the action and dedication to this task came only after the death of so many innocent people. If there is an interest, I will gladly post stories or comments related to these events, even if they are contrary to my own.
