TOO YOUNG

They were too young

Yet they pledged their love unconditional,

Through the good and the bad

The happy and the sad

Everyone thought they were delusional,

Because they were too young.

The years went by – two, four, and more

And their love remained steadfast,

Through the good and the bad

The happy and the sad

Some thought they just might last,

As the years passed by more and more.

Life was filled with twists and turns

But their commitment was strong,

Through the good and the bad

The happy and the sad

They proved the doubters wrong,

When they overcame life’s twists and turns.

They were too young twenty-five years ago

When they vowed to love forever,

Through the good and the bad

The happy and the sad

Now they celebrate this milestone together,

Despite being too young twenty-five years ago.
