SERBIAN ORDER OF BATTLE MORAVA INFANTRY DIVISION Morale: Veteran
SHABATZ GARRISON
Game Length – 16 Turns Terrain: The town of Shabatz is 4 town sectors with a road running through the centre of town. The river is fordable along its entire length with normal terrain modifiers applied. Movement at marked fords is at normal speed, no reduction, with a width of two infantry/cavalry stands. Crossing at a bridge allows for road bonus where applicable. Fortifications – The Serbs may place obstacles at the head of each bridge, these obstacles offer a –1 modifier against direct fire only, and they cover the frontage of two infantry stands. The 1st Morava regiment also receives 6” of entrenchments (enough to cover 4 stands of infantry/mgs etc) and are considered level 1 entrenchment. These trenches may be placed anywhere on the hillside facing the Austrians. Deployments – The Serbian 3rd Ban Infantry regiment must deploy in and
around the town of Shabatz. The 1st Morava Infantry regiment must deploy
on the large hill to the Serbian right of Shabatz. The rest of the division
moves on from the Serbian edge of the table on turn one.
Objectives: To win the Serbs must hold Shabatz and the hill to the right
of Shabatz on turn 16.
Artillery – This is an early war scenarios, therefore players must remember that no more than 1/3 of the artillery can be used in the offboard mode. For the Serbs this means only one regiment. Austrian offboard artillery only gets 6 fire missions, no smoke. Serbian offboard artillery gets 10 fire missions, no smoke. Onboard regiments may be brigaded, at the discretion of the commanding general. Weather - Weather is good, no fog or rain. Sighting is not affected.
