In Memory of Glenn Kata

On Saturday October 18th 2008 our friend and Gat 7even member Glenn Kata passed away at his home very unexpectedly. It has been determined that congestive heart failure was the cause. Glen was only 47 years old and leaves behind 2 adult children, family, and many friends.

The funeral will assemble Wednesday at 9 AM at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Rd. Rt. 138 Jewett City. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM at the Quinebaug Valley Alliance Church Rt. 169 Canterbury. Internment will follow in Pachaug Cemetery, Griswold. A reception at the Sprague Rod and Gun club well be held immediately following the cemetery services. Calling hours are Tuesday 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Quinebaug Valley Alliance Church 567 So. Canterbury Rd. Canterbury, Ct. 06331.

Glenn's family has asked that all his friends that ride participate in the funeral precession on their motorcycles.

We are meeting at The 7even (The gulf station on Rt. 12 in Lisbon) Monday night at 6:00 PM to determine how we can assist in the arrangements and the reception.

The Gat 7 would like to thank our own, Rev. Greg Perry for a wonderful job.  We would also like to thank The Greeneville Congregational Church, The Greeneville Neighborhood Association, and all the good people of Greeneville who were at the Blessing of the Bikes as part of Greeneville Celebration Day this Saturday afternoon.  The weather was a bit unsettled but we just dressed accordingly and after the blessing we took a nice back roads ride, which of course included a stop for food.
Thank You Greeneville!

Greeneville, be prepared for a monster turn out next year!

And The Winner Is...

Someone from Vermont and not from our crew.  :(

But we had a good time and a great lunch at Chili's courtesy of Randy.  Thank Randy! Maybe one of us will win the 08 Tour New England. 2 new dealers have been added, Essex, VT and Cape Cod Mass. That brings the total number of dealers this year to 27!

And the winner of the $500.00 gift card was from Maine! Neither winner was present, but at least 100-150 participants did show up for the drawing.
