2001 marked the Grenadiers 40th anniversary, and still going strong! This year's program "Fire" was very well recieved and liked by not only the musicians and performers within the corps, but by the crowds and other corps as well. The Grenadiers put their hearts into the music and marched one of the most challenging shows put on the field.
Matching the feat of 2000, the Grenadiers once again placed 8th overall at DCA World Championships in Syracuse, NY with a prelims score of 85.85 (Vis Total: 17.65, Perc Total: 17.25, Brass Total: 17.95, GE Total: 33.0) with an additional Colour Guard Score of 17.5 out of 20 and a finals score of 87.90 (Vis Total: 17.65, Perc Total: 17.10, Brass Total: 17.65, GE Total: 35.5) and an overall Colour Guard score of 16.5 out of 20.
