This British SAS unit is moving into the area under orders from their own intelligence. They have been told that there is an impending disaster and have been sent to investigate and deal with what they find.
Their sources have informed them that Soviet forces under a General Stehnkov have acquired equipment that is capable of doing serious harm to allied forces in Germany. They know that a group of Soviets are located and working in a mine outside of the village of Vharga. Their intent is to investigate the mine, scout the area, find the means of delivery, and destroy the Soviet's operation.
The group of 6 men is under the command of British Leftenant Samuel Mitchell. Three other members of the group are also native Britons, while two of them are Canadian Airborne Commandoes working in conjunction with the SAS. They are loaded for bear and driving a British AT-105 Saxon APC.
The men of the group are as follows:
The team is equipped with the following gear: (to be divided among the men however)
By the time the SAS unit makes it to the spot where they are to begin their operation, they will have almost no fuel left in their vehicle. They have 4 20 liter jerry cans with methanol in them, but it will be up to them to provide for themselves if they wish to drive their vehicle around. Most likely, they will find a relatively safe location and use it as a base of operations.
The team will not trust any Polish or Russian soldiers that they run into. Any American troops that they encounter they will consider friendly, but they do not realize that anyone else knows about this problem as well. They will not allow any Americans to join their team, but they may work with the Americans in a joint operation if the plan is good.
