The Polish soldiers with Freemont are a contingent of ORMO, or Polish civilian police. They used to operate in the town of Gersmakia, but once Stehnkov moved into the area, their numbers started to decrease dramatically. They realized that if they didn't leave the area, they would soon cease to exist. As they moved into the surrounding towns in an attempt to escape the wrath of Stehnkov, Freemont rounded them up and recruited them for his service. He used their hatred of Stehnkov as a means to an end. The are fairly loyal to Freemont, as he has done everything that he can to help them, so they will do what they can to help him.
The total numbers of the ORMO under Freemont's command varies as new ones hear of him and seek him out, while others fall prey to Stehnkov's men. Typically there are no more than 20 men, all armed, but usually only with submachineguns or sometimes even semi automatic rifles. Freemont has been doing everything possible to keep them in an organized group, and to keep them supplied. He has been pleasantly surprised to find that the men are resourceful and fairly skilled in military basics.
Even though Freemont trusts these men, and feels them capable of confrontation with Stehnkov's men, he has his doubts that he will be able to stop Stehnkov. The ORMO men, however, have fostered a burning hate towards Stehnkov, and fight exceptionally well against his men. If it comes down to a pitched battle, the morale of these men will be exceptionally high. They have a desire to rid their town, and country, of Stehnkov and his men.
The ORMO men have acquired fairly substantial supplies, and keep them in the camp that the PCs will meet Freemont in.
List of supplies:
As far as the combat abilities of the ORMO forces under Freemont, assume that at least one man knows a little about demolitions. A bulk of the forces are mere infantry, with some training. There are also usually one or two people who are good at observation and stealth. None of these men are ex-military, but some are ex-police, and therefore have some hand to hand training. In all, the men are fairly capable, and not slouches when it comes to combat, but against real troops, they will become outmatched. However, with their hatred for Stehnkov and his men, they are treated as standard military men for purposes of combat. Against anyone else, whom they do not have such a loathing for, they would only be Experienced NPCs.
