General Stehnkov!

The man with the plan

General Boris Stehnkov is a very intelligent and cunning man. He has been in service of the Russian Army for more than 30 years, and considers himself one of the most knowledgable man in the army. In fact, he is probably the most cunning man in the army, but he is also slightly mad. Stehnkov's military background has made him dangerous, as he knows the best way to win battles, but he now has no qualms about how to come about these victories.

When the Twilight war started, he was in charge of the Soviet 43rd Cavalry Division. Under his command, the 43rd won a fair amount of battles, and managed to survive where other units perished. As time went on, the war took a toll on Stehnkov's mind, and he began to "order" his superiors to carry out plans of his devising, in order to bring a quick end to the fighting. Unfortunately for him, his superiors did not care for this, and eventually relieved him of command.

Feeling betrayed by his commanding officers, but still holding loyalty to Mother Russia, Stehnkov left his command of the 43rd, and took with him a cadre of trusted men...men who would follow him to their deaths. Along his journey North, to an area where he had secretly dispatched some of his men from the 43rd, he picked up more supporters, and soon had a small army. That is when Stehnkov decided to call on some "favors" owed him by other officers and men. When all was said and done, Stehnkov had the means and the manpower to carry out his plan for a quick end to the fighting in Europe.

Stehnkov is an aging man, but still stout and hard as nails. He has white hair that is receeding on top, so you never see him without his military hat on. His face is slightly bony and weathered. His eyes are a cold, light blue, and with his constant frown, he looks as if he's seen Hell, and laughed at it! He stands almost 6 feet tall, and always wears a clean, pressed uniform. And although some might think him incapable of combat, he is deadly quick. Although his skills in hand to hand fighting have diminished with age, Stehnkov used to excel at fencing, so he has the precision and quickness of a fencer. For an unaware PC, who thinks he's got the drop on an old, soft officer, this could be a fatal mistake.

The thing that sets Stehnkov apart from most other officers is his charisma. Even though he has the weathered and beaten look, it is his voice and mind that give him command. His voice, while not overly loud, is even and steady. It is heavy with command and confidence, and has the ability to make others believe whatever it is that they hear. Couple this with his mind, which is constantly looking for weaknesses in his enemy, and you have a lethal combination. Stehnkov is not the typical officer, who gloats over beaten opponents. He realizes that actions are more important, and if he feels his opponent is worthwhile, will give him a quick and painless death. If his opponent is weak, or cocky, he will offer no quarter, and dispatch the "capitalist dog" with no mercy.

Overall, Stehnkov is a natural born leader, who can convince people to do things by simply talking to them. He is also a ruthless, insane fanatic, who will attempt to win no matter what the cost. Nothing can sway Stehnkov from his goals, and in the end, only death will stop him. If quarter is offered to him, he will capitalize on the opportunity and attempt to escape or kill his captors. He is a man with no remorse, and extremely dangerous.
