Welcome to my workshop, where we take the tools of Pixcon & Anitroll and rip out
the guts to provide a lean, mean, rendering machine - Gamegine.
Gamegine provides a software rendering engine, OpenGL accelerated engine, sound manager, special F/X manager,
resource manager, I/O manager, and an AI scripted event system.
There are only one thing I won't provide - game design - thats up to you :).
For the 2001 IDGF, I used Gamegine to create a space-shooter tech demo - The Darkest Hour - and guess what?
It wasn't immediately rejected! I've modified my entry to use the current version of Gamegine. Below are
some snapshots from The Darkest Hour.


Currently, GAMEGINE is available for:
- WinXP (requires DirectX9)
- Linux (sound code not ported yet, joystick not tested)
Future work includes:
- OpenGL 3D shaders
- AI library
- 2D Menu manager
- Multi/Netplay
- Archived File System
- Asynchronous I/O
