Notes:

    When I wrote to Kevin for some fitness benchmarks, I was expecting to get a variety of numbers back.  I was a little surprised by the consistency of the numbers he sent me.  With the exception of a little leniency for the props and locks, all players are expected to have the same level of fitness. 

    Similarly, backs need to be as strong as forwards.

 

WHY?

In rugby, there has been a coaching trend towards all skills for all players - that includes fitness!
