Amel Larrieux was a former member of US R&B duo,
Groove Theory. Now
she has a solo career and she's been involved in many of the soul productions
that have dominated the scene over the past few years,
Mondo Grosso and
Towa Tei albums and
Guru's Jazzmatazz to name a few. Her debut album, "Infinite Possibilites"
has a delicate mix between many styles. Hip-hop vibe, warm jazz instrumentation,
hindu sounds, drum&bass in a traditional jazz structure. A lazy groove,
keeping us alert with the rich variety of rootsy influences that make up
the sound.
