Birth: According to his daughter-in-law Olive, he was born in Keck's Center,
Fulton Co., NY.
Rynier is probably the son of John & Christina Gravenbergh of Middletown,
Montgomery, NY.

1840 Census - Rynier Grovenberge household; male age 30-40. (bet 1800-1810).
1850 Census - Rihianeas Grovenburgh, age 41, bpl NY, enum with Adam Brice. (abt
1809).
1855 Census - Rynier Grovenburgh, 30 (probably an age error), bpl Fulton Co.,
NY.
1860 Census - Neahr Grovenbargh is age 54, m,, Farm Laborer, bpl NY, can't read
or write. (Which puts his birthdate at abt 1806).
1865 Census - Near Grovenburgh, age 50, born in Fulton Co., NY. (Undoubtedly
an error.)
1870 Census - Near Grovenburgh, 67, male, born in NY. (Which puts his birth
abt 1803).
He was married to Mary Fikes (daughter of Fikes and
Sarah) on 9 Aug 1827 in Stone Arabia, Palatine, Montgomery, New York.

was born about 1807. She died about 1840 in Ephratah, Fulton, New York.

GENERAL NOTES:
A Rachel Ecker and three children are staying with John Grovenburg and family
in the 1880 census. She is a widow and says she was born 1845 or 1846.
Because of her age, she may be the daughter of an unnamed second wife out of
three, of Rynier's. Or a sister of Olive Martin, and NOT a Grovenburg at all.
He was married to Nancy Hannah about 1854 in Fulton Co., New York. --see 1855

Burial in Keck's Center Cemetery:
"Nancy Grovenburg, Died Jan. 18, 1881, Aged 66 yrs. 2 mos. 7 days.

Keck Center Cemetery: This cemetery is located in the town of Johnstown.
