Obituary -"Mr. Grovenburg was born June 7, 1858 at Kalamazoo, Michigan. He came west to Clay Center, Kansas about 46 years ago, where was united in marriage to Eldora Plum. His wife died in 1894, and six years later he was united in marriage to Blanche Schnepp at Carroll, Iowa. Mr. Grovenburg came to Seneca ten years ago with the Crane family and has continued to make his home here. He was a farmer, and a retired lumber man."

He was married to Eldora Plum (daughter of John M. Plum and Martha Hayward) on 14 Feb 1886 in Clay Co., Kansas. ^(364)(365)
