Ocean Boy 340 - 1994 - 1997

I bought this radio new in November 1996. A useful little knockabout for working in the office on Saturday mornings when there are few there to disturb, camping trips, and so on. Doesn't switch to USA standard 10kHz spacing on MW, hence its non-availability there. Despite this, for the price, about £40 (equivalent of US$60), a good buy, pretty sensitive & good audio. Replaced the Ocean Boy 330, which was electronically similar, but had less appealing styling. Has since been replaced by the Ocean Boy 350, which again is similar inside, but has even more distinctive styling, with the display moved down and the buttons arranged in a crescent around it. See portable radios section of main Grundig web site (accessible from Non-UK links) for a pic. (Note: the Ocean Boy 400/500/510 is a completely different range of radios).
