 After many years working as a speech-language pathologist, I found myself facing unemployment. The national company I was working for had lost its contract with the long term care facility in which I was employed. The prospects for me to find another position in my field were further complicated because of new Medicare reimbursement changes that were going to take effect in January 1999. This was going to reduce the amount of therapy patients would be entitled to receive. In turn, this dramatically affected the professionals providing the services. Therefore, the best I could expect was to find a position with no guarantee for the number of hours of work per week, with significantly more stress and substantially less pay. I was already at the top of the pay scale by virtue of my experience and could only expect cost of living increases. This was definitely not the position that I entered many years ago! I had three months notice that the position was going to be terminated. I decided that what I really wanted, was to find something I could do from home. The problem was, I did not know what I wanted to do. When I received a booklet in the mail describing an opportunity to earn a remarkable income while working from home, I was very skeptical. However, I had no other prospects at the time, I decided to pursue this opportunity. The more I learned about it, the more impressed and excited I became. Once I found out about all the training and support provided by both my mentor, other members of his team, and the company, I felt this would be a fantastic opportunity for me to achieve my goals. In less than a year, I am now well on my way to achieving the financial success and lifestyle that probably would have eluded me if I had not decided to take some risks and make changes in my life. There is no time like the present to make the decision to change your life. You won't regret it for a minute! This could be the key to unlocking the door to a future you never thought could be yours. |
