A Photographic History Of The German Shepherd Dog 1899-Present
This site is to provide the public with photographs of the German Shepherd Dog since it's creation in 1899 by Capt. Max v. Stephanitz.  It is intended to demonstrate the breed's differences (and more importantly, it's similarities!) throughout it's history.

It's amazing to notice that many of these dogs of the past could compete successfully in today's rings!
Windmill's The Thunder Rolls--5 pt. major 10/19/02 (needs 1 major to finish).  Storm is included in this photo history to show that a contemporary dog, descendant of most of the dogs on this page, can and does win in today's rings without being extreme.  (Storm is a great-grandson of both Andretti and Jamaica.)
