Terminology

A Cookie Shop is a table outside an approved vendor where a small number of Girl Scouts, supervised by at least two adults, sell boxes of Girl Scout Cookies.  They do not take orders, they sell actual boxes.

Simultaneous Shops means that one troop wants to have several shops happening at the same time, on the same day, with different girls and adults at the different locations.  This is a way to get your entire troop to participate at once, and be done with it in one morning or afternoon or whatever.  However, the logistics can be a bit daunting.

Leaders may sign their troop up for 1, 2, or 3 shops by mail.  It is first come, first assigned, and the popular sites are filled quickly.  But many troops choose to have more than 3 shops.  At the February leaders' meeting, remaining cookie shops are assigned by lottery at first, then by interest for the remainder, if any.  All assignments should be posted on this website before February 25.
