| Showing cutting horses is a passion of mine. My best turnback help in the practice pen is my dog Spot. He is always willing to work and never has a long list of other priorities. I usually use him and 2 or 3 young dogs to gather and pen the cattle. Then he is ready to help me work my horses. When I get ready to make my cut, he will stop the herd; and has figured out to push the rest out of the way when I get one singled out. Then, upon command, he will push the one cow back to me and even bring it off the fence if needed. I really depend on him and he is there, come rain or shine. |
