Use this page as a guild to the everyday functions of playing an Action PC Football league game.

 

Download/Use GTFL disk

1.  Each week I will send out an updated league "disk."  It will include all the necessary files needed for you to play each weeks game.
2.  You will recieve this "disk" in your email inbox, but may also be downloaded from the web on our yahoogroups page,  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GreatTeamsFL
,under files.
3.  After the "disk" (which is actually a zip file) is on your computer you need to unzip it.  To do that follow these directions:
     A.  (first week only) Creat a new directory(folder) in your Action2000 Folder.  Name it GTFL.
     B.  Open the zipped up league disk.
     C.  Press Extract botton.
     D.  Direct WinZip to save the files into the GTFL folder.  Overwrite all files from previous weeks.
     E.  When in the game click setup and highlight GTFL folder, and you will be ready to play your weeks game.

 

Play Head to Head

1.  Decide who will "host" game.  Usually the Home team.
2.  Host - go to Play/Scheduled League Game(s)
3.  In Schedule window - go to correct week and then double click on your game, click play button.
4. Make sure everything is correct in the Action PC Game Preferences window, click play.
5.  Host - get your IP address to visitor(email or instant messaging), then wait for incoming call.
6.  Visitor - go to Play/Internet - Join Game.
7.  Type in Host's IP address and click connect.
8.  Host accepts call
9.  You are now ready to play Action PC Football head to head. 
   

 

Export/Email Games

After a scheduled league game is complete the "host" team coach must send the game file to the league statistician, Brad Wysocki.  To do this follow the following directions.
1.  From Main screen select Utilities/Export Games.
2.  In Export Games window double click on the game you wish to export.  Be careful to remember the score of the game you just played.
3.  Also click on the folder you wish the have game exported to, probobly GTFL.
4.  Click Begin Export.
5.  Now located in your selected export folder there is a file named with the two team names the scores, and ends with .XBX  (e.g.  CLE 45 DAL 7.XBX)
6.  Zip up (usually use WinZip) the .XBX file and name it with the team names and adn week number.
7.  Email zip file to league statistician, as well as your opponent from that game.

 

Export/Import Coaches

Export
1.  Set the lineups and coaching tendencies(optional, only if you are letting the computer play for you, and you want it to call certain things in certain situations.)
2.  From main screen select Utilities/Export Coaches.
3.  In Export Coaches window double click on your team (get *).
4.  Choose your target directory.
5.  Begin export- You will get an "excoach" file in your targeted directory.
6.  Zip up (usually use WinZip) the excoach file.  Name the new zip file "your team's year and  abbreviation letters"coach.zip (e.g.  "55clecoach.zip")  Important, rename the zip file only, not the file located inside the zip file, this should remain "excoach"
7.  Email the Zip file as an attachment to the desired party.

Import
1.  Unzip excoach file into any directory(folder)
2.  From main screen select Utilities/Import Coaches.
3.  In Import Coaches window select the directory where the unzipped "excoach" file is located.
4.  Begin export.
