BARNEY COFER Born- 2.27.60 Height- 5'9" Weight- 175 Bats- Both Throws- Right Barney is a solid player on both sides of the ball. He's not a guy that's gonna dominate the game, but he's gonna give you all he has every time out, and he's the most fair guy in the league. Barney swings a solid bat, but don't expect balls to be flying out of the park on a regular basis. He does have power, but Barney is more of a contact hitter than an all-out slugger. He sprays the ball to all fileds and is usually tough to strikeout. Don't expect the walk totals to be high, but you can expect the average to hover around the .400+ mark. For the oldest player in the league, Barney has decent speed and can play the outfield as well as anyone. Barney possesses good hands, so catching the ball isn't an issue. From the mound Barney is decent, but not a player that's gonna strike fear into most hitters. He has a few good pitches, and if he's "on", he can be a solid pitcher that's gonna keep you in a game. Don't look for Barney to rack up any league records in the pitching department, but expect a reliable arm nearly every time out.
