WHY DO GUYS IN THEIR 20'S PLAY WIFFLEBALL? Because we CAN and because it gives us a chance to feel some of that glory we once felt on the baseball field, but in a less spectacular way. Plus, it's freakin' fun! There's nothing better than blasting a game winning homer in the bottom of the 7th to win a game. There's some things we were never able to accomplish in baseball that we can now do in wiffleball. Sure, wiffleball doesn't compare to the real thing, but it's as close as we can get. WHY THE WEBSITE? Because it makes the league a little more credible. I want to promote the CWL the best I possibly can, and the net is a great place to do that. Plus, guys love seeing their stats posted after each gameday. It's basically added fun and enjoyment to our little league. It makes things feel more "real" and less like a kid's game. WHO STARTED THE CWL? Actually, the CWL began as the VDWB (Van Davis Wiffleball) a few years back. Josh Cartwright and Andy McMahan (and the rest of the crew) always played wiffleball growing up and the idea came about to start an official league so the VDWB was born. The VDWB only managed to stick around for one full season, but it was a huge success in our first year. Now years later, The CWL is here. So, officially, I guess Josh and Andy started things. WHERE IS THE CWL LOCATED? The CWL is located in the great city of Cleveland, Tennessee. We play our games in a huge field owned by Andy McMahan. Each spring we mow down the field, prep it for the games, and play under the scalding hot Tennessee sun. Seriously, there's no shade around the field. CAN I PLAY IN THE CWL? Maybe. If you don't suck and you live close to Cleveland, Tennessee. Can you honestly say, with a clear conscious, you don't suck? Do you live near Cleveland? If you can say yes to both these questions then get in touch with one of the main guys on the contact page. DO YOU GUYS TRAVEL TO PLAY? Um.....no. We stay right here in Cleveland. We don't do the whole tournament thing so don't ask us to drive thousands of miles to play in your tourney. WHY DO YOU HAVE MOVIE REVIEWS ON A WIFFLEBALL SITE? Mainly because I'm a huge movie buff and a wannabe movie critic. I love watching films and it gives me great pleasure in sharing my thoughts with others about the movies I watch.
