[Tragedy]
Act 1
Scene 1


He had gone through the files just to make sure that everything was really over. He had wanted to be sure there was no way for it to somehow make a sudden appearance anytime in the future…

The “It” he referred to was “Mother”, or Dorothy, who had become Michelangelo City’s mother computer. Then there was also the Family Program…

Rion Steiner frowned, turning away from the computer screen in front of him to look at Lillia who sat near by at another computer. She looked tired and worn out as she typed on the keyboard, bringing an assortment of things onto the screen.

Rion was about to suggest stopping when he saw Lilia’s eyes widen as she brought up a new window on the monitor. “What’s wrong? Lilia?” Rion moved to see what she had found, standing behind her.

The top of the screen read “Discontinued due to various flaws.”

“It looks like Dorothy tried more than once,” Lilia said quietly, “She must have failed the first time she tried to create the Galerians.” She pushed a few buttons on the console, bringing up a new window that contained a list of names-

Chien
Night
Fleur
Needles

Rion repeated what he read on the screen quietly to himself. “What does it man? Are those the Galerians she tried to create before?” Lilia nodded slowly, “I think so…” She put in a few more commands, bringing up a screen that stated the “failed group” had been stored beneath an abandoned factory near the edge of Michelangelo City.

“What should we do?” Lilia asked, looking up at Rion with concerned eyes. “If they’re still alive…” His voice trailed off, his gaze still fixed on the screen.

If they were alive, would they be a threat? Or would they join him? Would the group be divided with some trying to restore mother while the others were against it? Simply thinking of all the possibilities was giving him a headache…

“I…think we should check it out at least…They might try to restore Mother…If that happens…” Rion’s voice trailed off again.

Lilia nodded, “We can’t let that happen, Rion…” He was silent for a moment then he finally nodded and said, “I’ll go to the factory…you stay somewhere safe…” Lilia started to protest but he interrupted her, “It’s better that way. So, if something happens to me, you can finish things…” Lilia nodded reluctantly, understanding that there was a chance that Rion may not return. “…Alright…Rion, please be careful…”
