Testimonial
I came from a very religous family. Since I was a child I have been active in many Catholic Church activities and have tried to live a good life. When I was growing up, I was happy about the way my life was. I was making good grades in school, and was surrounded by good friends and family. Despite all of this, I still felt an emptiness inside of me. The Lord used so many people in my life to share the gospal and pray for my salvation. I remained stubborn, thinking to myself "I'm serving God- why do I need to accept him? What's the difference?" The first time I heard God speak to me was Christmas 1982, while praying in church. He said "Do you think that you can make it like this - just in your own way? No! You still need to accept me. Test me and I will prove to you that I can do better." Not knowing how to accept him, I waited until I met with my friends who led me in a prayer of acceptance. This is when I let the Lord into my heart. He forgave me of my sins and took control of my life. Sure enough, on that day, Janurary 3, 1983, God proved to me that he could change my heart to a better one. I never regret the decision that I made to allow God into my life.
