My life before I knew the Lord was not really too bad. I thought, "Go to church almost every Sunday, that's about it." However, during the week, in my college years, I did a lot of stupid stuff: cutting classes, skipping school, hanging around with my friends and drinking, womanizing and so-on, until my Mom was saved.
She brought the Bible study home so we could hear, but I didn't pay attention to my Mom's invitation. I became more stubborn, and did my own thing. But "Praise God" my Mom always prayed for us. Finally, she invited us again, but this time I told myself, "I'm gonna give my Mom a chance."
While listening to the pastor's message, I realized - I need to saved by having a relationship with the Lord Jesus. Being good is not enough. Participating in those religious activities was good, but more was needed.
When the pastor asked for those who were ready for acceptance, I accepted him (Jesus) as Lord and Savior of my life. From that time on things changed. Now I have conviction in my life. I have a hunger and a thirst for His word and to know him more.
