<Ventress opens up her human-skin bound book and begins to write her newest entry>

It has been many years since I have returned to the city where I was raised, What possessed me to go back I do not know. Upon entering the city gates I made my way to my fathers house, all of under the protection of darkness, the moon blackend sky was my aid this night, for I was not well liked in the city I was raised in. I do not remember much about my life during the time I lived with my adpoted father and his 2 kids. The man that I called father was the only sorcerer of his city, it was small and located on the outskirts of a very large forrest. I do remember the day when my life was utterly changed and I was stripped of all emotion and filled with hate and rage, I must say, if this is what he was trying to achieve he would be proud, if only he had lived to see his own creation.

A caravan had come though our city, this struck a few us as strange but being as we never got many visitors, everyone was excited. He many strange things to sell to the merchants of our village herbs and balms of all sorts, and foods and things none of us had ever seen. I remember walking along with my father, my hair pulled back and bouncing along beside him, playing in the flowers alongside the road. When we got to the place where the caravan was. The old man knew at once who my father was, the crowed parted and an man stepped out of the wagon, he and my father had hushed words, we all assumed they were the words of magics and didn't bother with what they were. My father was the one of the most trusted elders of the city, there were many secrets and wonders that he held knew and did not share. The strange man produced a book, a black leather bound book to which my father took and sliped into his robes, he then purcased a few spell componets and we were back off to the house. Being the young and intuitive girl that I was asked him about the book he had recieved from the man he told me that it was a new kind of magic that my father was intrested in and that soon things would be back to normal...

My father had lost his wife, during childbirth the oldest sister of the family had taken over her duties. Years went by as they normally do and it was spring yet again, my father had had spent most of this time buried in that black book, I remember climbing the stairs of his tower to try and get him to spend time with us, only to be told he was busy and to go back to the house. I was now 16 and I had been learning magic from my fathers old scrolls and tomes that he had left laying around. My father picked up on this and noticed how fast I learned and how easy the words of magic came to my lips. He said it was a shame that none of his remaining daughters, were gifted in the art of magic, my father help me increase my knowledge and soon he said that he needed my help in a spell.... I never been asked to help my father in a spell, I was happy to do this that I ran ahead of him to the tower, bouncing and hoping that it was something important. When he arrived to the tower, we didn't go straight up to the top, he lead me around back to a garden that I never knew was there. We sat on a bench and in the middle of the garden was a grave. "Who's buried there" I asked. "My wife" he replied as he looked longingly at the grave. "I miss her so much, and I have at last learned of a way to bring her back" he said as a tear ran down his cheek. "You have, how is that?" I replied. "The black book I recieved a few years ago is a guide to the art of necromancy, it is a type of magic that deals with the undead". The undead I though... "I am going to bring her back, so that we may be together once again, and I need your help." I trusted my father and told him that I would do whatever it was he needed. He took my hand and said thank you.... I had never been inside my fathers study, I was always stopped by a large wooden door, but this time the door was open. I stood in awe of the bottles, jars, chests, and all the other wonderful trinkets that were lying around. There was a large stone table in the middle of the room, with that black book laying on it. "I need to try something on you dear Ventress" my father said. Many times my father had cast spells on us, those that changed our hair color, or helped us with our chores, so I was not in the least be frightended. He sat my in a chair and told me what he was going to do. He told me not to be scared that he knew what he was doing and that he would fix it all in the end, after saying this he pulled a small vile of green liquid out from his robes. "Now Ventress, I want you to drink this, it might hurt a little but you will fall asleep very soon afterwards, you will then pass into the other world, I will then bring you back." I nodded my head slowly. I took the vile, wanting to help my father in way I could. I put the vile to my lips and drank...

It was very cold at first, and I felt it spread out though my entire body, then the pain set in, I tried to hold back the tears to show my dad that I wasn't afraid but the pain was too much. It seemed to go on forever and then it was gone. I do not know what he did nor do I now how long was in this state, I know that when I came to something was very very wrong. My father was scrambling though his books and searching though his study, There was a pain all over my body I rose, from the table my skin felt like it wa burning. "No Ventress lay back down there spells not complete" I look to my left and there laying next to me was a corpse of a woman whom I'd never seen. Through my choaked tears and convulsions of pain I asked "Who is that" "That is my wife, I need to you lay down to I can bring her back" "NO" I shouted I left from the table and realized that I wasn't touching the floor, "Ventress your are undead at the moment you weren't supposed to wake up yet, if you don't lay down and let me finish the spell you won't be able to die" Able to die? "Why do I want to die" I asked him. "I need your life force to bring her back, I need her Ventress you are just an adopted child, think of things I have to deal with, with her not being here." "No" I shouted again, and grabbed the book of the table if I can't live neither can she. I ran down the steps, and into the woods. Over the next few days I was filled with horrible visions and and felt the urge to get revenge on what my father had done. I opened the book and started to read, I was been turned into an undead creature called a wraith, they feed on the life force of living creatures, apparently he was going to use my life force to give to his wife. I was then going to be left for dead, the thought of this stirred feeling in me that I have never had before, I wanted to kill my father for what he did, and I set off for it. Upon reacing the tower I set the corpse of his wife on fire, standing back watching the tower burn, Then I went to the house, my father and my sisters were asleep. I walked into the bedroom of the younger sister, I placed my hands on her and felt a surge of cold, she tried to scream but she couldn't after a while she was dead, I then went to the older sisters room and she was not there so I went to my fathers bedroom. Once he was dead, I left the house and left never to look back. I made my way to moorgate where I am today,
