SHOMREI ADAMAH TU B'SHEVAT SEDER

Shomrei Adamah will be co hosting a Tu B'Shevat sedar and Shabbat celebration with Am Kolel, Jews United for Justice, and the Shalom Center. Each of the four groups will address some of the social and environmental issues that affect us while we sample the variety of fruits and nuts, and grape drinks associated with the Seder. The traditional Seder created by the Safed mystics includes a focus on involving us in the renewal of nature and in doing tikkun (repair) work in the world.

When: Friday January 17th, 2002
6:30 pm Kabalat Shabbat Service
7:30 Seder and dinner

A short walk from the Tenleytown Metro.

What: Please bring a vegetarian dish for the potluck dinner and a reusable plate/cup/utensils. This event is free.

We will have order forms for our fundraiser 1 lb. bags of fair trade Costa Rican coffee available at the Tu B'shevat Seder. The coffee fundraiser will benefit Shomrei Adamah and Eco-teach (www.ecoteach.org) Bags are $10 each. For those who can't come to the seder, we will have ordering information available on this site soon.
