History
This addition to the range boasts a Cockpit feel driving position and a suite of electronic controls. Features are speed-proportional variable ratio steering, 6-speed automatic transmission, Terrain Response, electronic cross-linked air suspension, ETC, ABS, air-sprung suspension and electronically controlled centre diff. Adaptive Cruise Control available on petrol models and Dynamic Response system is standard on the supercharged engine.

The Range Rover Sport uses the same hybrid chassis and body construction as the Discovery 3 as well as its double-wishbone air suspension. The vehicle is less bulky than Range Rover 3 with a reduced wheelbase and overall hight, a clamshell bonnet has been used without the castellation. The tailgate has been replaced a hatch back that has an electroniclly controlled drop down window.

The flavours of V8 engine are 4.2 Supercharged or 4.4 naturally aspirated. The 4.2 V8 engine is a modified jaguar sports car engine and has been electronically limited to 140mph.
