Greetings unto the most Noble Fighters and Populace of Atenveldt.
First, let me say that the long awaited newly revised SCA Corporate Marshal Handbook is now out and will be LAW , starting on October 1 of thisyear. Huzzah!!
We are in the process of revising the Atenveldt Marshal's Handbook, to bring the Kingdom into compliance with the new rules. This will also be completed by October 1, 2000. We will post access to the new Corporate Rules as soon as His Grace Eringlin, Society Earl Marshal (away at Pennsic right now), allows. This will be very soon.
The most sweeping change will be the issuance of new Authorization cards, with a 4 year limit of use. Yes, this will mean that every 4 years, you (yes, you!) will have to reauthorize. This procedure will be as simple as we can make it, to be outlined in the new Atenveldt Handbook.
To this end and to get everyone covered, THL Duncan MacLean, Kingdom Minister of the Marshallate Rolls, will be sending out new cards to ALL fighters, marshals, etc. He feels positive that he can do this by October 1. Let's help him out with this. He will send new cards to your group Marshal or Seneschal, if he does not have your personal address. You (yes, you!) WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for contacting your local Marshal or Seneschal and retrieving your new card. If you have not received your new card by October 31, 2000, please contact THL Duncan as soon as possible. New cards will start to be sent out in the next few weeks.
