Lynne and Michael Roche

Lynne and Michael Roche make fine artist dolls in porcelain, wood and cloth for doll collectors. Each doll is handcrafted using the finest materials including antique fabric plant dyes for much of the uniquely designed clothing. The outfits are often in cotton, wool or silk cloth with inventive and very original knitting. The dolls are fully articulated, carved in lime-wood, allowing movement and play. Some dolls dress as storybook figures, the owl and the pussycat, alice in wonderland, hansel and gretl, etc. Roche dolls stand between 15 and 20 inches tall and can be found in collections and museums all over the world

Shelley Thornton

"Magic happens when we recognize the human spirit in an artist's representation of the human form. I think that when a doll is profoundly rendered, its form mirrors the human spirit that is familiar to us all."

Robert Tonner

Robert Tonner, known throughout the world for his award winning dolls and fashions, began his career as a head designer for Bill Blass after graduating from the Parsons School of Design. In recent years, he has combined his fashion experience with sculpting and design talents to produce the unique and appealing dolls that have established him as a leading doll artist. Through his designs, the Tonner Doll Company recaptures the magic of classic characters such as Orphan Annie, Betsy McCall, Superman and Lois Lane, April from the Lynn Johnston's Beloved comic strip, For Better Or For Worse, Mary Engelbreit's Ann Estelle, and many Disney favorites.

Annie Wahl

My dolls celebrate the ordinary, everyday life with characters that most people can relate to. They sometimes resemble your own relatives or the little elderly cuties that you notice in church or in the park. I never make a doll that I wouldn't want to sit down and have a good conversation with over a cup of coffee and a good dessert! I digress from time to time when at my mercy some old character ends up with moth or fairy wings and yet resembles my Uncle Harold or your Auntie Flossy.

Jan Cheesman's Faerie Marionettes

Inspired by a child's vision, every faerie is individually unique. Much love, time and thought goes into their creation. These one of a kind fantasy marionettes are constructed of hand sculpted clay, carved wooden arms and legs andjointed with leather. Suspended "on cords"from beautiful handcrafted walnut controls, they truly come to life. With a gentle hand they will dance and fly! Jan dresses them in lavish vintage fabrics and adorns them with genuine stones, sparkling Austrian crystal, found antiquejewelry and pieces of her own creation.
