1. What & Why?

The AP5T mobo I obtained did not come with a PS2 mouse cable/connector. So I had to make my own. I bought a PS2 mouse port with a 6-hole connector with ribbon cable. The connector's holes matched the pins on the AP5T mobo.

2. The AP5T PS2 MS Port

The PS2 MS port on the AP5T mobo is a connector block with 6 pins.

This is the pin-out according to the AP5T User Manual :-

Pin Description 1 MS DATA 2 Not Connected 3 GND 4 +5V 5 MS CLK 6 Not Connected

This is the pin-out of the standard PS mouse port at the PC :-
