PLANS & IDEAS for FUTURE GET-TOGETHERS:
Do you have an idea for what we might do? or a great suggestion
for a place to meet? Then why not volunteer to be the host for a future get-together?! A host simply selects the location and activity for the
gathering. An activity can be just about anything -- even something as
simple as "meet at McDonald's and have lunch." Anyone on the
H.A.I.T.I. Group e-mail list is invited to submit their creative ideas for a get-together.
Simply e-mail the details to haitigroup@yahoo.com and we'll publicize it to the
list for you! The next month for which we need a
volunteer host is OCTOBER 2003.
Check out some of the things we've done together recently, below.

Sunday,
December 8, 2002 ~ Marion
We met at St. Paul Baptist Church in Marion (where Phil & Angie Macomber attend) for the Christmas musical/drama He is Not Just a Man, a beautiful story of the birth of Jesus. Following the service, we went to East of Chicago Pizza to enjoy some fellowship while we enjoyed the all-you-can-eat pizza buffet.
Carry-In Meal and Games
Saturday, November 23, 2002 ~ Fort Wayne
We gathered in Fort Wayne at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church for a noon carry-in meal and fellowship time. Our hosts, Jared and DeAnn Jennette, kept us laughing with games like Mad Gab and Balderdash.
Worship
Service with Haitian Brothers & Sisters in Christ
Sunday, October 27, 2002 ~ Indianapolis
We met for a quick supper at Wendy's just down the street from the church. Then we headed over to Covenant Baptist Church (4201 W 30th St) to attend the 6:30 PM worship service of the Haitian congregation who meets there every Sunday evening. The people extended to us a very warm welcome, and we were all blessed by our worship experience that evening.

Mini-Golf, and Go-Karts
Saturday, September 21, 2002 ~ Columbia
City
We gathered at the Pizza Hut in Columbia City for dinner, followed by mini-golf and go-kart driving at Paige's Crossing Family Entertainment Center.
