Dear friends,

We hope that you are doing good. We want to apologize for our four month silence, but we were overloaded by work. These last four years have gone by very fast. We have found a replacement couple. Pascal Bergeron and his wife Caroline. Pascal was the youth pastor in St-Hyacinthe for two years.

In April, we received a team from St-John, New Foundland. It was composed of nine college students and two school teachers. Matthew Langdom, the team director, challenged our youth with a wonderful message. 109 teenagers attended the meeting. The team members built and painted twelve benches and six tables. They visited hundreds of children in the ravines and in the poor areas. This experience has marked their lives.

In June, the Swiss missionary, Pastor Erwin Buchmann who now lives in Martinique with his wife came to Haiti. He preached to both the children's meeting and the women's meeting. His messages were filled with the spirit of God. What a joy it is to see him continue to serve the Lord at his age.

June was a month of farewells for us. Tim and Cathy Anderson left to return to Wisconsin. Cathy is a nurse, and she is returning to get a Masters in nursing. Bob and Jaylinn Lino also returned to the U.S. They have helped us a lot. They both taught at the American Quisqueya Christian School this year, our son Max`s school.

Between the 2nd and the 9th of July, a team from Petrolia, Ontario, led by Arlene Wells and Pastor Phil Kniesel came to help us. Pastor Phil spoke to the church on two occasions. 578 enthousiastic children attended the first meeting and 550 where present for the second meeting. They made 27 benches and doubled the size of the stage. They were impressed by the visits to the children's houses.

- Our oldest son, Pierre, has been accepted in computer engineering at Concordia university in Montreal.
- After four years in an American school, our youngest son, Max, will attend a French school.

PLEASE PRAY FOR :

- Our home assignment, that we can rest and that we can visit many churches.
- The Bergerons, that they learn the Creole language quickly and that their experience in Haiti will be a good one.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS!

When we returned home from Africa in '90 and in '95, the majority of our donators stopped supporting us during those two years of home assignment. We would like you to know that while we will be in Canada, the needs in Haiti remain the same. Please don't stop supporting the ministry here. Haiti has great needs!
