Kennel History

(Halicanum's life story)

Our start in canine world was, when basset hound Lucky became our family's member. 

Soon after his arrival, Lucky was shown on CACIB Lendava dog show, which was organized by our kennel society. 

The most important was the fact, that our family was definitely infected by disease called "dog showing". 

It is like heavy drug addiction. You go showing till the end of your life. Of course you live longer than drug addicts.

The impacts of "dog showing disease" on our family:

• I am the president and my wife is secretary in our local kennel society KD Lendava, which is known as organizer of (FCI recognized) international all breed dog show CACIB Lendava

• I am beagle show judge (with Slovenian national license).

• We know lot about breeding and whelping.

• We know almost all show beagles in our part of Europe

Our start with beagles was in 1996. Since that moment, beagles are our breed one day.

The Day was in January 1998, when young beagle female Coco came in our life. 

In January 2001, Coco gave birth to six puppies. One of them was Arthur, who stayed with us as family pet.

After that, we had B litter with two boys and one young lady. All of them are shown.

 Now we are thinking of having C litter and to enlarge our pack with one young female.

When we use the word "kennel", this means "breeding" only.

Our dogs live in our home as family pets, and have all family members' rights.
