Your guide to the inhabitants of Mort.

Upon Mort you are likely to find all manner of different cultures and species. Some may look entirely different from that which you are used to and here is a guide to the people and creatures you might meet.

"There are lots of other people on Mort. I am a Stormer 313. SLA made me.I am no different to other people. I have a house and a car just like you. I am a lot bigger though and could probably squash you."

Here is a brief description of the most common races.

• Advanced Carrien.
  Humanoid in appearance with bald canine facial features. Recently brought into the employ of SLA Industries they have to fight to prove themselves loyal. Untrusted by pretty much everyone. Which suits them fine.
  Typical quote - "Yeah I'm Carrien. But while I wear this badge, you do what I say, right!"

  Brain Waster.

  Aggresive and temperamental, the Brain Waster looks mostly like the Ebon except with charred eyelids in the place of normal ones. The Brain Waster wields the more destructive Ebb abilities.
  Typical quote - "Get outta my goddamn way!"

  Carnivorous Pig

  The giant pigs that infest the sewers are a menace to all and with their ferociously mindless attitudes they are easily capable of taking on a fully armed and armoured Operative.
  Typical quote - "SNORT!"

  Carrien.

  Humanoid in appearance with bald canine facial features. Will openly attack just about anything. Steriotyped as using hockey sticks, though they are more than able to use firearms.
  Typical quote - "grrrr!"

  Chagrin.

  Biogenetic warrior is a fitting description here. Bigger than the 313, the 711 version is stronger but not as smart..
  Typical quote - "so....can we shoot 'em now?"

  Domino Dogs.

  Biogenetic Urban Patrol Canine. The Domino Dog is a powerfully built biogenetic 'dog' used for killing Carrien and patroling the Cannibal Sectors..
  Typical quote - "woof!"

  Ebon.

  Insightful and emotional. The Ebon has an unblemished complexion and no irises. They wield the more passive Ebb abilities..
  Typical quote - "I know how you feel, I had a similar experience when I was 9. I understand what your going through my friend I really do."

  Frother.

  Human drug addicts turned SLA operatives. The Frother usually uses combat drugs, and a Power Claymore is the steriotypical weapon..
  Typical quote - "Come and get a peice of me you fuckers!!"

  Humans.

  Standing around 5ft 10in on average the Human is one of the smaller races in the World of Progress. Renowned for their ingenuity and the ability to adapt to almost any surrounding...
  Typical quote - "Hmm, looks like it's up to us to sort out again. Fuckin' aliens."

  Low Wave.

  Biogenetic lifts would be a simple way of summing up the Low Wave. Standing slightly taller than the Chagrin they are an imposing sight...
  Typical quote - "..."

  Manchine

  Made to be the ultimate in Cyber Technology the Manchine Project is one of SLA's biggest mistakes. To meet one is almost certain death.
  Typical quote - "......click.click.."

  Necanthrope.

  The final stage of Ebon evolution. The Necanthrope is perhaps the most horrific creature a citizen of Mort is likely to see. Famed for the deadly Gore Cannon they carry...
  Typical quote - "I know it hurts, but how does it...feel?"

  Scav.

  Survivors of the fall of Salvation Tower have developed certain unethical traits. Cannibalism and a scavanger based society evolved and the creatures known today as Scavs are the results of the Cannibal Sectors unforgiving environment.
  Typical quote - "Give it to me, give it to me!"

  Shaktar.

  Reptillian in appearence, mamalianin design. The Shaktar are renowned for their sense of loyalty to the family structure.
  Typical quote - "Ahhh, you are 'Jk'tyr'. Then we have no more to say to each other. Prepare to die."

  Stormer.

  Biogenetic warriors. The Stormer 313 stands around 2.8M and is 3 times as strong as the average Human. They are the most loyal of SLA industries inhabitants.
  Typical quote -"Scared of me huh? Good."

  Vevaphon.

  Biogenetic Polymorph. The Vevaphons unique cell structure allows it to change it's shape to suit almost any situation. Fine detail such as hair is it's only failing....
  Typical quote - "You have such an interesting...structure..."

  War World Criminal.

  Survivors of tours from the Warworlds such as Dante and Cross are a menace to all society. Hated by the company they tried to protect and driven insane by their experiences on the War Worlds they are extreamely dangerous and not to be approached without utmost caution.
  Typical quote - "This is Copperson to Command. I have the traitor in my sites. Am moving to terminate."

  Wraith Raider.

  Fast and agile are the Wraith Raiders main attributes. Famed for their diagnostic skills and an innate will to survive. Steriotyped as a sniper....
  Typical quote - "I'm outa here, I've done my job

  Xeno.

  Biogenetic Chameleon. The Xeno 714 is fast and agile, with 7 eyes they would be easily noticed were it not for their ability to blend in to their surroundings much like a Chameleon....
  Typical quote - "no, i'm sure he never saw me. he walked straight past and didn't bat an eyelid."

"With so many options available to me the Human form may seem like an odd choice. Look around however and tell me how many more Humans do you see in comparison to the other races. Humans are by far the most successful race. I seek to emulate them in my form."
