The Dog:
RT's Tiny Tido, or Tido as we call him, is a lovable little guy with a quiet disposition. He is by far our quietest Chihuahua, and is great around children. Tido is very patient and playful with his own puppies; he has never shown aggression as some males do. Recently, a friend's two year old daughter literally used him as a stepping stool, and he didn't try to bite or anything of the sort; he simply ran away when he could. Tido is also very correct in his conformation, and does not have splayed legs as some Chihuahuas develop.
Tido realized his fortune when he came to live with us in the late spring of 2005. We answered an ad in the paper about a blue male, which is what we had been looking for. Upon seeing him, we realized he was kept in undesirable conditions. He was an outside dog in a snowy region, which as a Chihuahua owner, anyone knows that's a big no-no. He is tough though, and he survived. Upon further inspection after bringing him home, we bathed him and took care of health issues that should have been addressed long before, such as dental cleaning. Now, he is a healthy, glossy, happy Chihuahua who outright shows he appreciates the home he has now.
The Sire:
As a sire, Tido is an excellent choice. His first litter with us was gorgeous with incredible and unique markings. All are very healthy and vigorous, and display the desirable large "bat" ears. Already, each has it's own personality, and will be sweet family dogs. We were very pleased with his success as a sire.
Tido sires correct, true type Chihuahuas that are the perfect choice for a serious breeder and especially for families. We were told when we purchased him that he had previous litters, and did see one of his puppies. It was a beautiful and tiny long-hair, as Tido has long-hair in his ancestry. Tido himself is a "double-coat," where he has a fuzzy underfur and a sleek outerfur. His first litter with us has this soft and desirable coat. While Tido himself is a larger Chihuahua, he does sire small. We have a couple that will be no more than five pounds at maturity, and a couple that will be around seven pounds.
