Mooseheads have acquired 19-year-old centre Jean-Michel Boisvert in a trade with the Montreal Rocket, first round, second round, and a fourth round pick in 2002. Mooseheads give up Pascal Leclaire and Hugo Lehoux, second round, fifth round pick in 2002.
The new president for the Halifax Moosheads is Kevin Cameron. He is from Nova Scotia and will assume the position following the retirement of four-year veteran Ken Mounce.
