Steps to create Photo Album using Dreamweaver 8

Before we proceed you need to have some big size images / pictures in a single folder to create photo album and aslo you need to have Dreamweaver and Fireworks installed on your system. A Little knowledge of Dreamweaver will be an added advantage.

Following are the steps to create PhotoAlbum using Dreamweaver 8

Step 1
In dreamweaver, create a new folder in your site where you want to keep all files generated during creation of photo album.

Step 2
Click on Commands > Create Web Photo Album..., this will open "Create Web Photo Album" window as shown below.

Step 3

• Fill Photo album title, This will appear on top of every page.
• Fill Subheading info, This will appear only on index page of the photo album.
• Fill Other info if you like to, this will also appear only on index page of the photo album.
• Browse for Source images folder.
• Browse for Destination folder.
• If you would like to change the other properties like Thumbnail size, Columns, Thumbnail format, Photo format do it or otherwise leave it and Click OK
• Now you'll see Fireworks is automatically comes up and create photo thumbnails for your images. After this you’ll get an alert saying Album created.

Step 4
Now check your folder you'll find index.htm file along with three folder thumbnails, images and pages.

Step 5
Customized your album as per the looks and styles of your web site, and if you are using template apply template to all pages generated also apply CSS style sheet if you are using it. If you see in index page, by default just below the image the name of the image file is displayed, you can change that if required.
