What's your Favourite Scary Movie?? Well this is mine!

Scream Re-invented the Horror film by turning itself onto itself.  The mocking of past Horror Flicks is frequently referenced to in the film, such as Freddy Krueger or Halloween and it is this mocking that makes the film.

Stacked full of Pretty Young Girls and not that bad looking Males this film was targetted towards the younger audience but it still entertains the older Generation.

Wes Craven who at the time was most Known for his Diabolical Freddy Films, has re injected himself with a new life and he is using this new health to cash in on the buzz created by Scream.

What I liked so much about Scream is the Way that probably one of the biggest actors (In This film that is) or there abouts is killed off in the first few minutes.

The pacing of this sequence links directly to our heart and we begin to feel in the same shoes of Casey(Drew Barrymore)  The phone call is innocent and the man seems charming, chatting away about movies and then suddenly we are into the main ingredience of the film -  Death.

The Script by the Dawson Creek Creator Kevin Williamson is top notch and it never falters all the way through.

The Performances by most of the actors is satisfactory and they all link well to create a beleavable situation.

If you Are a fan of Horror Movies or are simply Bored to your back teeth with them, then Scream will change your opinion.

Excellent

Trivia

Scream was originally to be filmed at Santa Rosa, Ca High School. When the school board read the script they objected to the violent nature and the production was moved to Healdsburg, California. So near the end of the credits, there is a message saying "No thanks whatsoever to Santa Rosa, Ca High".

The school janitor Fred (played by Craven) can be seen wearing a Freddy Krueger sweater and hat.

When Casey's parents come home and see that something is wrong, her father says to her mother, "Go down the street to the Mackenzie's house...'' which is a quote from Halloween (1978).

Linda Blair has an uncredited role as A News Reporter
