Arguably one of the finest Sequels ever!!, this film follows in the
already great footsteps of the original Toy Story and in some peoples eyes even surpasses
it.
Featuring the voices of the original film such as Tom Hanks who plays
Woody and Tim Allen who Plays Buzz Lightyear, the jokes are finely polished, well put
together and further help to enhance the world, which is Toy Story!
With better technology at their disposel, Pixar have created visuals that
are breathtaking and realistic. The character of Al who owns Al's Toy Barn looks
extremely realistic and at one point in the movie you actually think he is actual footage.
At the Ending of the first film we know that one of the new Characters is
going to be the newly acquired family pet. Shown Below after just performing 'Reach
For The Sky!"
Also back to lend their voices are Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head),
Jim Varney (Slinky Dog), Wallace Shawn (Rex), John Ratzenberger (Hamm), and Annie Potts as
Bo Peep. Director John Lasseter also returns to direct this film which was originally
supposed to be a direct-to-video release.
In the sequel the toys have to rescue Woody, who has been stolen
by a toy collector (voiced by Seinfeld's Wayne Knight), while Andy is away at
summer camp. Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Hamm, Slinky, and the rest of the toy gang have to band
together to do everything they can to get Woody back.
I would like to pay respect to Jim Varney who recently
Died and who provided the Voice for Slinky the dog. RIP
