I was born on a cold day in November in the year 1979, in Marshfield, Wisconsin. I was the first born child of my parents. My mom, dad, and I lived in the small town of Stratford, WI, for the first few years of my life, before moving to live next to my grandparents on their farm outside of the unicorporated village of Rozelville, WI. My brother Aaron, was born in 1983 while we lived on the farm. My early years were spent on that farm, playing with the animals and visiting my grandparents. I started going to Mosinee Elementry when I was 5 years old. I had lots of fun in school. I've always liked to read and was placed in an advanced reading group in first grade. My parents decided to move back to Stratford when I was 7 years old. We bought a nice little house outiside of town on a dead end road. I started going to Stratford Elementary in second grade. I made friends quickly, although they were all girls. I have fond memories of my grade school days.

In junior high, I started to get more involved in extracurriculars. I started playing the trumpet in 5th grade, and in 7th grade, I was persuaded to start playing football. I was one of the founding members and first ever junior high president of my school's Chapter of FFA. I also started playing basketball and running track in junior high.

As I progressed into high school, my participation in clubs and organizations increased. I was on officer in the high school chapter of FFA my freshman year, was first chair Trumpet in band, and started FHA and SADD. I was also a founding member of my community's chapter of Youth Futures, an organization composed of Community Business Owners, Teachers, Students, Home Owners, and the Stratford Police Department.

My sophomore year I was class Vice President and was started getting active in Student Sentate. I continued my previous activities and also joined the Forensics team, and made it to State. I also joined the Mock Trial team.

My junior and senior years of high school were simply unforgettable. During my senior year of high school, I was the President of my school's FFA chapter. Our football team won it's 3rd straight conference championship, and my FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team won the state competition and placed in the top ten at the national competition. I also was voted MVP of the Marawood Conference in Track and Field for winning the 100 and 200 meter dashes.

After high school, I decided that I wanted to go to college, so I applied to the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. I got in, and roomed with my friend Jimmy from back home for the first year in the dorms. I joined a fraternity named Phi Gamma Delta, aka Fiji, in the Fall of 1998. Since then, my life has changed so much.

College really changes people. I decided to finally come out as gay my second year of college, but only to my closest friends. It was really hard, but after it was all over, I felt so much better. I only recent came out to everyone else in Eau Claire.
