"I cannot live without books" - Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

There are many of us who would agree with the late president of United States of America. However, there are certain problems readers face today.
- There are libraries, on-line websites, etc which provide good books , but they are not easily accessible.Due to distance ,congestion for popular books, extraneous formalities,at times even the most ardent readers get lazy.

The question arises why a bookclub?

- It would make accessible a whole range of books to interested readers at a very nominal cost.

- It would help in exchange of diverse and stimulating thoughts and dialogue on books from diverse people.People can share their joys, achievements, interests. It enhances personal growth and leads to a better understanding and improves appreciating our differences.

-Book reading is also about sharing that experience.

- It would also encourage lazy readers to read books regularly.

- At times we are in a dilemma about which book to read.We are more open to books reccomended by friends, and read those books immediately.

There is a need for an active reading club which meets regularly.
