At the wedding reception. People were eating
while we were under the photographer's instruction on how to pose for our pictures. |
This is a Vietnamese traditional long dress
called "Áo Dài".It is worn for every formal occasion, especially for weddings
and church. |
Just another pose. Look at the way Art's hand is
holding me. He just didn't want to ruin my dress with his sweat. The weather is too hot
for a suit. |
It was a half Vietnamese half Canadian wedding
so we had to have the two dresses as well. Gosh, I was way over the top with my
vanity. |
    |
The weather was
getting very hot and humid. Art could no longer wear his suit. So we decided to drive
everyone to the beach for a wild second half of the reception. => |

Here we are at Coco beach once
again. This time, it was a wedding not a picnic, but our guests were enjoying the picnic
drink - coconut |
Look, we stood right in front
of the rock where we sat and had our picture
taken on our first picnic. What a coincident! |
The weather got too hot then
it had to rain. And so it came. It was pouring down in sheets when we were in the car on
our way back home. |
    |
We held a small
ceremony at the local church and a few months later we went to Australia where Art
went to work for a high-tech company while I learned to adapt to the Western culture.

After the church ceremony, a
lot of pictures were taken. This was my favorite "áo dài"
|
In front of the old church.
This church was torn down to build a new one when we returned from Australia after one
year. |
Here we are, at a costume
conference in Blue Mountains, Australia. The print on my dress is the map of Vietnam. Art
was the captain of Star Trek. |
    |
Art likes
travelling. A year in Australia, we moved 4 times between Sydney and Newcastle. Five years
in Canada and we have moved from Ottawa to Vancouver and finally Calgary. |

 |
At the wedding reception, Art
was putting on a necklace for me. It was a wedding present from his brother and his wife. |
Dinner at Blue Mountain of
Australia. It was nice meeting a lady and her husband who came all the way from Korea for
the conference. |
It was a nice walk up the
mountain until my shoes got broken and a bird pooped on Art's shirt. Other than that, it
was a beautiful walk. |

Constance Bay in Ottawa. Nice
place to spend a weekend. Yea, we went out fishing in the morning and got..........
Nothing |
Stanley Park in Vancouver. It
took us 2 hours to bike around the park. Walking around and through it would take a whole
day if you don't get lost. It was fun! |
At the top of the Blue Mountain
there was this perfect cliff where you can have a good view of the whole mountain, and
pretend to fall off like Art did. |
New Castle and the beautiful
beaches. A nice walk along this trial and we got to a picnic part where there were
coin gas BBQs to gill our food and a dried grass hills for tobogganing |
