Provider’s Vacation Leave:  Provider may take three weeks of vacation per year.
I will take off single days or whole weeks at a time.  Back up provider will be
available and therefore payment due as usual.  48 hours notice will be given
when I take a vacation day, two weeks notice will be given if I choose to take
more that three consecutive days off.

Child’s Vacation Leave:  Two weeks notice is required if your child will be absent
for vacation.  Each family is allowed two weeks non-payment vacation per year.
If your vacation is more than two weeks, you will be charged 50% of the weekly
rate to hold your child’s position.  Child’s vacation leave may only be used for
complete weeks off.  No single days off/adjustments will be made.

TOILET TRAINING:

When your child shows readiness for toilet learning, this will be done in a relaxed
manner and in cooperation with you.  If your child has frequent accidents or is
just learning to use the toilet, you will need to proved plenty of extra clothes and
underwear with rubber pants or pull-ups.  I also ask that potty training children
wear clothing tat they can handle successfully on their own - no onesies, no
overalls, no belts.  Elastic waist pants & dresses are the most appropriate.

NON-FURNISHED ITEMS:

You will need to bring the following items:

*complete change of clothing at all times (label with name)
*proper outerwear for outside play
*sunscreen
*diapers and wipes
*bottles (label with name)
* any other necessary items (i.e. rash ointment, powder, etc.)
*optional:  special blanket or lovey for nap time.

NAPTIME:

All children will have a nap/rest time after lunch.  Each child will be provided a
cot or port-a-crib and blanket.  Linens are washed on Wednesday and Friday or
more frequently if soiled.
ACTIVITIES:

I believe children should have fun!  Each month the children will be working on
thematic units.  These themes are all based on things which interest children.  For
more information regarding the curriculum, please refer to you monthly calendar.

DISCIPLINE:

1. I will speak to the child, on the child’s eye level, in a positive manner.  We will
discuss the problem and what the child needs to do in order to correct it.

2.  In the event, that our talk does not correct the problem, I will redirect the child
to another activity.

3.  As a last resort between the child and I, Time-out will be used.  I will place the
child in Time-out if he/she is 3 years of age or older, and the child will be there
for no longer than one minute for each year of the child’s age.  This time will
never exceed five minutes.

In the event that any of the above does not work, a meeting will be required
between the child, the parents, and I to discuss what else might be done to correct
the problem.

I will do my best to work with you on any concerns or questions you may have
regarding my discipline policy or your child’s behavior while here at my
daycare.  If we work together, it will all run quite smoothly.

ILLNESSES:

Please do not bring your child if he/she is sick.  Health Department regulations
prohibit the admittance of any child into family daycare home or center who
exhibits any of the following symptoms:

*Rash (not diaper rash)
*Fever (100*f or higher)-- Child needs to be fever free for 24 hours
*Diarrhea with a fever
*Discharge from eyes or ears
*Vomiting
*Communicable diseases (chicken pox, roseola, conjunctivitis, mumps, measles,
influenza, head lice, etc.)
* or Pin worms

If your child develops any of these symptoms while in my care, you will be
required to pick him/her up immediately.  When returning to child care, your
child must be free from ALL symptoms for 24 hours.
