Out the window: it was a warm, but grey and yucky day - as long as we don’t get any more snow or freezing rain, I’ll be happy!!!
Quote of the day: “If you’re following what I’m saying, you may have a question in mind, which is, ‘How do I drop this course?’.” - Dr. Rae, in “Literary Theory and Criticism”, after explaining a particularly mind-boggling theoretical concept

I have neglected this page horribly since we got back to school, and I really have no excuse, since I can’t claim I’ve been busy - I’ve been neglecting *everything* horribly! :-) I just feel no inclination to do anything - I finally got off my butt and went out this weekend, but I haven’t done any work today, and I was supposed to work all afternoon. Of course, this is mostly Stacy’s fault since she called me and talked for two and a half hours, but I guess I need to take *some* of the blame. :-p

My friend Tara and I went to see Queen’s Musical Theatre’s production of A Chorus Line last night. I was actually really interested in seeing it, since it’s a show that I’m totally not familiar with. It was very well done. I’m not sure it’ll ever be one of my favourite shows, but the production was fantastic. A few little gliches here and there, but that’s to be expected in an amateur, student production. Our major problem was that we were sitting right next to the orchestra pit, and they left part of the curtain open, which happened to be the part right next to the drummer, so there were times when we couldn’t hear *any* thing from the stage. It was unfortunate, because the singing was very strong (with one exception - but that girl was a *lovely* dancer :-), but it was often hard to understand what they were saying. But the dancing was fantastic, and very strong acting from nearly everyone. I was particularly affected by the scene in which Paul talks about working in a drag club - I was in tears by the end of it. And the number “What I Did for Love” was just gorgeous - I literally had chills running down my spine, but they just matched the tears on my face. :-) All in all, brava, brava, bravissima to the entire company for a job well done.
Disappointment this week - Melanie won’t be able to go to New York with us. Apparently her school is really anal and stOOOpid, and she can’t take the time off without losing her scholarship and risking failing her courses. I’m really disappointed, since meeting Melanie was one of the things I was most looking forward to. I’m sure Stacy and Tara and I will have a *great* time anyway, but I really wish Melanie could come with us. It won’t be the same without her.

Well, I don’t really have anything else to say, so maybe I’d better go do some of that work piled up on my desk. Hopefully more updates will be coming soon, when I get my act together. Hope everyone has a good week!!!
